Faculty
A team of diverse and dedicated instructors will be present throughout the
training. Our outstanding and highly regarded faculty, most of whom
studied directly with Dr. Feldenkrais, have been selected for their extensive
knowledge and experience, areas of expertise and ability to communicate
the depth of the Feldenkrais Method.
In addition to David Zemach-Bersin, Deborah Bowes, P.T., will be a core faculty member for both the New York City and Baltimore/Washington, D.C. programs. The faculty also includes; Elizabeth Beringer, Carl Ginsburg, Ph.D., Mark Reese, Ph.D., and Arlyn Zones, M.A. Additional staff and areas of special interest include; Sheryl Field (children), Anna Johnson-Chase (theater), Carol Kress (psychology and Aikido), Marcy Lindheimer, M.Mu. (musicians and voice), Olena Nitefor, M.Ed. (anatomy), and Aliza Stewart, M.A. (musicians).
The variety of training personnel will give students a broad and deep exposure to the multifaceted nature of the Feldenkrais Method. The Feldenkrais Guild Training Accreditation Board guidelines require that a training program maintain a student to teacher ratio of 20:1 for the first two years and of 15:1 for the final two years of the program. Feldenkrais Resources will always meet or exceed these guidelines.
In addition, guest lecturers
from related fields occasionally address the training program. These
invited teachers, scientists or thinkers will broaden your understanding
of the Feldenkrais Method, your sense of its relationship to the arts and
sciences, and your appreciation for the future development of the work.
